Q: Where do you swim?
A: Volcano Island water park at Algonkian Regional Park in Sterling, VA.
Q: Who watches my campers in the pool?
A: Every place that we go to that has a pool is fully equipped with life guard staff, but our staff is fully aware that they are responsible to watch the campers and are CPR and First Aid certified. Our Kindergarten and 1st Grade Campers do not swim in the pool; rather they are very active in the facilities’ splash area. Our 2nd – 5th and 6th – 8th campers will receive swim bands, to which help to group swimmers into the correct area for proper oversight during swimming activity.
Q: Is there a water slide?
A: You betcha! Our 270 ft. water slide is a top attraction on our campus. We consider it a field trip in itself!
Q: Can I shadow or chaperone my camper at camp or on the FunTrip?
A: We do not allow chaperones for the trips simply because each member of our staff has been through an extensive interview process which includes a background check. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any concerns.
